In a small town nestled in the mountains, there was an old mansion that had been abandoned for years. Locals believed that it was haunted by the ghost of a lady who cried every night. Legend has it that she was a young woman who had lost her husband during World War II, and she died of heartbreak soon after. The townspeople tried to forget about the mansion and the crying lady ghost, but the stories persisted. Some said that on particularly stormy nights, her sobs could be heard echoing through the empty halls. One day, a group of teenagers dared each other to spend the night in the mansion. They didn't believe in ghosts and thought it would be a fun adventure. As night fell, they set up their sleeping bags in the living room and settled in for the night. At first, everything seemed normal. But as the night wore on, they heard strange noises coming from the other rooms. Footsteps echoed down the halls, doors creaked open and shut on their own, and a chill settled over the room. Then, they heard it. The sound of someone crying, softly at first, but growing louder and more desperate. It seemed to be coming from the upstairs bedroom. The teenagers huddled together, unsure of what to do. Some wanted to leave, but others were curious about the crying lady ghost. They decided to investigate, creeping up the stairs with their flashlights held tightly. When they reached the bedroom, they found nothing. No one was there, and the crying had stopped. But as they turned to leave, they saw a figure at the end of the hall. It was a woman in a long white dress, her face obscured by her hair. The teenagers froze, unsure of what to do. But then, the woman lifted her head, and they saw her face. It was twisted in sorrow, tears streaming down her cheeks. It was the crying lady ghost. For a moment, no one moved. But then, one of the teenagers stepped forward and spoke to her. "Why are you crying?" he asked. The ghost didn't answer, but the crying stopped. She looked at them with sad eyes and then slowly faded away, disappearing into the darkness. The teenagers never forgot that night. They told everyone they knew about the crying lady ghost and her sorrowful cries. And while the mansion remains abandoned to this day, locals say that sometimes, on quiet nights, you can still hear her weeping for her lost husband.
